I translate across the full range of legal instruments — contracts, NDAs, licensing agreements, notarial documents, legal opinions, court documents, trust deeds, and more. Legal translation requires more than fluency: it demands an understanding of the legal systems and conventions on both sides of the language pair.

With 25 years of experience in legal translation between English and Spanish, including documents governed by Mexican, Irish, and UK law, I produce translations that are legally coherent in the target language — not just accurate renderings of the source.

Financial translation is among the most demanding specialisms in the profession. A mistranslation in an audit report, a compliance filing, or a loan agreement can have serious consequences.

I translate financial statements, audit opinions, AML and compliance documentation, treasury and credit documents, tax compliance materials, and securities documentation. My work for Big Four accounting firms and financial institutions across Mexico and Europe has given me deep familiarity with the terminology and conventions that financial professionals expect.

Board minutes, articles of incorporation, corporate bylaws, annual reports, shareholder resolutions, and regulatory filings all require a translator who understands the corporate and regulatory environment in which they operate — not just the language.

I work with multinational corporations, corporate secretarial teams, and translation agencies on governance documentation for companies operating across English-, Spanish-, and French-speaking markets.

Humanitarian translation requires accuracy and cultural sensitivity in equal measure. I have translated programme reports, field communications, needs assessments, protection documentation, and donor-facing materials for NGOs and humanitarian organisations.

Terminology in this sector follows the conventions established by UN agencies — UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA, and others — and I apply these consistently across all humanitarian work.

My technical translation work covers industrial manuals, safety procedures, engineering specifications, and renewable energy documentation. I have particular experience in Industry 4.0, automation, and renewable energy sectors, with ongoing translation work for a European manufacturer of educational engineering equipment.

Technical translation demands precision — a mistranslation in a safety procedure or a technical specification can have real-world consequences — and I apply the same rigour here as I do to legal and financial work.
